Aekyung Industry Supports Domestic Violence Prevention with Donation

Aekyung Industry, known for its commitment to ‘love and respect,’ marked the Domestic Violence Prevention Day (Purple Day) by donating packages valued at 300 million KRW to the National Association of Protection Facilities for Victims of Domestic Violence on the 7th at the Love Sharing Hall in Jung-gu, Seoul.

This initiative aims to support the daily recovery and stable living of victims residing in protection facilities, contributing to the enhancement of social safety nets.

In collaboration with Dasarang Community, Aekyung prepared 1,200 sets of ‘Cherished Support Packages’ consisting of daily necessities and cosmetics, which will be distributed to 63 domestic violence protection facilities across eight regions in the country on August 12, through the Community Chest of Korea.

Key stakeholders, including Kim Jeong-pil, Head of Sustainability Management Division at Aekyung, Kim Kyung-hee, Director of the Community Chest of Korea, Seong Jae-ho, Representative of Dasarang Community, and Kim Ok-ki, Chairperson of the National Association of Protection Facilities for Victims of Domestic Violence, attended the donation ceremony.

Kim Jeong-pil expressed that the support aims to provide even a little strength to victims struggling with the aftermath of domestic violence, reaffirming Aekyung's commitment to continuing social contribution activities based on its managerial philosophy of ‘love and respect.’

Established in 2005, the National Association of Protection Facilities for Victims of Domestic Violence works towards the prevention of domestic violence and the protection and promotion of victims’ rights, facilitating information sharing among domestic violence protection facilities nationwide and improving service quality.
