At Home’s THOME Beauty Devices Win Red Dot Design Award for Second Consecutive Year
At Home, led by CEO Yang Jeong-ho, has proudly announced that its private aesthetic brand THOME has received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for the second consecutive year.
Following last year’s award for 'The Glow' in the product design category, this year THOME was recognized for two devices: the 'Twenty up,' optimized for trouble care with a water droplet ultrasound technology, and the soon-to-be-released pharmacy-exclusive hybrid beauty device 'The Booster.'
The Red Dot Design Award, organized by the Design Center in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, is among the three most prestigious design competitions globally, alongside Germany's iF Design Award and the U.S.-based IDEA.
This recognition reaffirms the success of THOME’s philosophy of 'problem-solving design,' which considers both aesthetic appeal and functionality. At Home has consistently invested in elevating design as a core competitive edge, resulting in a total of 46 awards from major global design competitions, including Red Dot and iF.
The 'Twenty up' device is specifically designed for trouble and skin texture care, featuring a compact design reminiscent of a lipstick, making it portable for use anywhere. It includes a hygienic dome-shaped cap and a color indication system for intuitive usage.
Implementing professional skincare technology, the Dual Wave Ultrasound™ technology provides modes for soothing sensitive skin and enhancing makeup adherence, catering to a range of skincare needs.
Meanwhile, 'The Booster,' set for official launch, combines three types of LED wavelengths with a four-stage electroporation (EP) technology to effectively deliver active ingredients from skincare products to the skin.
Featuring an ergonomic design with soft, curved silhouettes, it seamlessly adheres to the palm and allows for all functions to be controlled with a single button, simplifying complex skincare routines at home.
Na Se-hoon, Chief Design Officer at At Home, stated, "The design of THOME not only focuses on aesthetics but also on the use experience, integrating seamlessly into skincare routines. Winning the Red Dot Design Award for two consecutive years is a significant recognition of our problem-solving design philosophy in the global market." He added that At Home would continue to prioritize usability and intuitiveness in their R&D efforts to provide a unique and convenient home aesthetic experience.
