Daebong LS Achieves Record Sales of 62.7 Billion KRW in First Half of 2026
Daebong LS Co., Ltd. (078140), a cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and bio-materials platform company, achieved its highest-ever sales in the first half of 2026, reaching 62.7 billion KRW.
The company's sales rose by 19.7% compared to 52.4 billion KRW in the same period last year, with operating profit recorded at 5.7 billion KRW. Sales continued to grow following the first quarter, with total export amounts for the half-year also increasing by 52% year-on-year, reflecting simultaneous growth in both overall scale and foreign market penetration.
The driving force behind this growth is the diversified 'multi-brand and multi-category' business structure, as new product launches from various K-beauty brands lead to repeated demand for both general and high-performance bio-materials. There has been stable demand for universal cosmetic materials, alongside increased sales of high-function bio-materials that merge clean beauty values with scientific efficacy, such as peptides and PDRN.
While global expansion is still in its early stages, the growth trend continues. Total export amounts for the first half saw a dramatic increase of 52% compared to the previous year, with cosmetic materials exports climbing 128% in North America, 62% in Europe, and 57% in Southeast Asia. As exports expand in these key markets, Daebong LS is enhancing product competitiveness for clients by combining bio-material design and synthesis, delivery systems (DDS), and formulation optimization technologies to drive growth in global markets.
In the pharmaceutical sector, the company aims to foster growth by continually expanding its product portfolio, pursuing the transfer of improved drug raw material technology, and commercializing generic raw materials globally.
The consolidated operating profit has decreased compared to the previous year due to rising fixed costs such as depreciation charges and maintenance expenses following the completion of the Songdo B&H Plex facility. In the second half, Daebong LS plans to increase the revenue share of high-value bio-materials like peptides and PDRN, while diversifying revenue sources and enhancing growth quality through collaborative projects with academia and industry.
Daebong LS's subsidiary, P&K Skin Clinical Research Center, contributed to growth with a 7.4% increase in sales year-on-year during the first half. The center is expanding its testing scope beyond cosmetics to include health functional foods, beauty equipment, and daily necessities, bolstering its capabilities in efficacy verification and regulatory response essential for global market entry, and leveraging accumulated skin clinical data to cultivate an AI-based beauty tech business as a future growth driver.
A representative from Daebong LS commented, “The combination of expanding global material demand and a business structure based on diverse clients and product groups has led to record sales in the first half. In the second half, we will strengthen our focus on high-value bio-materials based on the Songdo B&H Plex, articulating the commercialization of improved drugs and generic raw materials to pursue both sales growth and profitability enhancement.”
