Kolmar Beauty Showcases Innovations at 2026 Seoul Beauty Week for the Fifth Consecutive Year
Kolmar, a leading player in the K-beauty industry, is set to participate as an official partner in the '2026 Seoul Beauty Week' for the fifth consecutive year. The event will take place from August 23 to 25 at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, showcasing the comprehensive beauty routine from morning skincare to night cleansing.
This year, the theme of Kolmar's booth is 'Every Moment of Your Day, Kolmar,' emphasizing the integration of its research and manufacturing technologies in everyday beauty products. The exhibition encapsulates K-beauty's established presence in daily routines worldwide.
Seoul Beauty Week has evolved into a pivotal business platform supporting beauty companies in accessing both domestic and international markets. It has also become a venue to experience the latest K-beauty trends. Since its inception in 2022, the number of participating companies has grown from 52 to 147, nearly tripling in size, with buyer participation expanding from 18 to 48 countries. Last year, approximately $30 million in export consultations were conducted.
The booth is organized according to a '24-hour beauty routine' segmented into skincare, sun care, and cleansing zones. Each section features researchers explaining the distinct characteristics of various formulations and showcasing a broad array of products developed and manufactured by Kolmar.
In the skincare zone, attendees can experience the next-generation skin delivery technology, 'Dermafit Micro Needles,' designed to minimize irritation while effectively delivering active ingredients deep into the skin. Various formulations reflecting the latest skincare trends will also be available for testing, demonstrating Kolmar's advanced formulation technology.
In the sun care zone, participants will use UV cameras to visually compare the effects of sunscreen before and after application, highlighting Kolmar's sun care technologies that are enhancing K-beauty's global competitiveness. The booth will also feature a specially developed scalp sun care formulation.
The cleansing zone allows participants to clean the products used in the sun care zone and examine their skin condition before and after cleansing using a skin analysis camera. Attendees will be able to directly compare the cleansing efficacy and experience of different cleansing formulations.
Moreover, the booth will include experiential programs, such as the opportunity to create a personalized cooling mist, along with photo zones and a roulette event aimed at engaging visitors with K-beauty.
Kolmar is also dedicated to fostering future growth in K-beauty by participating as a judge in the business meetup pitching contest held on the final day of the event, supporting the discovery of promising beauty startups with innovative technologies and ideas. The directors of Kolmar's Skincare Research Institute and UV Tech Innovation (Sun Care) Research Institute will oversee the judging process. Winning companies will receive opportunities for business collaboration with leading beauty enterprises.
According to a Kolmar representative, the competitiveness of K-beauty is derived not only from outstanding brands but also from the ecosystem created by research and development, manufacturing companies, distribution, and platforms. As a long-term official partner since the inception of Seoul Beauty Week, Kolmar aims to continue contributing to the global integration of K-beauty in daily life and support sustainable growth in the ecosystem.
