HanaMi Become Gung Hits 50 Million Units Sold Post-Rebrand
The functional fermented placenta health supplement, HanaMi Become Gung, has surpassed a cumulative sales milestone of 50 million units six years after its brand renewal.
Launched under the premium health functional food brand, Living Garden by LG Household & Health Care, HanaMi Become Gung was first recognized for its fatigue improvement functionality based on placenta extract in 2020, marking its reintroduction to the market.
HanaMi Become Gung features 320mg of fermented placenta extract, alongside a scientifically formulated blend of eight types of Vitamin B and four minerals, designed to assist in energy metabolism and vitality support—a fitting solution for modern consumers experiencing chronic fatigue or decreased physical strength.
Its key ingredient, PlaCell, is a fermented placenta extract that has been concentrated by 2,500% through 100 days of fermentation and maturation. Notably, PlaCell is one of the few individually recognized ingredients derived from placenta that has received approval for fatigue improvement functionality from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
Over the past 20 years, LG Household & Health Care has conducted extensive research on placenta ingredients, developing various forms, including powders and liquids. This year, the company has completed the manufacturing registration of its first liquid placenta product. Additionally, patents related to PlaCell and the fatigue-improving functionality of fermented placenta have been secured in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China.
According to an LG Household & Health Care representative, the company's focused research efforts on the fatigue functionality of placenta have been instrumental in creating a long-standing bestseller. The company is committed to enhancing its solutions tailored for modern individuals experiencing chronic fatigue.
