THOME Partners with Korean Air for In-Flight Duty-Free Sales
THOME, a private aesthetic brand operated by At Home (CEO Yang Jeong-ho), officially launched its products in the Korean Air duty-free in-flight shop, SKY SHOP, effective September 1. The sales are set to occur on international flights with mid- to large-sized aircraft.
This entry into SKY SHOP represents THOME's strategy to extend its engagement with tourists visiting South Korea, a move aligned with a recent surge in foreign tourist arrivals to the country. According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, approximately 1.99 million foreign tourists visited South Korea in June, marking a 23.1% increase compared to the same month last year.
THOME has progressively expanded its presence in South Korea's major duty-free channels, first entering Shinsegae Duty Free last year, followed by additions in April to Shilla Duty Free, and most recently to Lotte Duty Free in July.
The exclusive in-flight duty-free product, 'THOME Signature Sky Package,' consists of the flagship beauty device 'The Glow Signature,' along with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide boost ampoules. The hyaluronic acid boost ampoule focuses on hydration and radiance, while the niacinamide boost ampoule aids in brightening and firming.
'The Glow Signature' features advanced bubble ultrasound technology, applying frequencies of 3MHz and 10MHz to penetrate approximately 20 layers deep into the skin. This technology reduces the burden of skin irritation while facilitating comprehensive anti-aging care including radiance, hydration, and elasticity maintenance.
A representative from THOME stated, "With the increasing number of foreign tourists to South Korea, we recognized that environmental changes, such as climate and water quality, could affect skin condition during travel. This initiative aims to make THOME products more accessible for travelers, allowing them to maintain skin care before and after their journey."
