LG Household & Health Care's luxury cosmetic brand, The History of Whoo, participated in the 'Financial Times Luxury Summit - Asia Edition 2026,' held on the 20th in Bangkok, Thailand. This summit, co-hosted by the Financial Times and Nikkei, is recognized as an authoritative event that gathers key decision-makers from the global luxury industry.

Prominent CEOs from luxury brands such as Dior, Saint Laurent, and Zegna were featured speakers. Given the increasing importance of the Asian market, this year's Asia Edition was organized separately in Hong Kong for the first time last year.

As the only South Korean brand and beauty representative at this summit, The History of Whoo participated alongside notable figures, including Francesco Risso, the former creative director of Italian luxury brand Marni, and Roach, the stylist known for creating iconic red carpet looks for celebrities Zendaya and Kim Kardashian. Together with opinion leaders and media professionals, over 300 attendees gathered at the Capella Hotel in Bangkok to discuss global luxury industry trends and future directions.

LG Household & Health Care was represented by Yang Geun-hye, Head of the Luxury Beauty Division, and Kang Nae-gyu, CTO of LG Household & Health Care's technology research center. At the summit, The History of Whoo emphasized its status and vision as a 'Science-Driven' luxury brand. Products highlighted included the 'Bichup' line, which showcases unique technological prowess, and the 'Hwan Yu' line, recognized as the official VIP gift at the APEC Summit last year. Additionally, special gifts were provided to attendees to experience the luxury brand's value firsthand.

A fireside chat session with Yang and Kang was also conducted, where they presented differentiated missions and future visions that only The History of Whoo can fulfill, amidst the rapid growth of K-Beauty. The discussion underscored The History of Whoo's unique status as a representative of K-luxury beauty, successfully combining Korean heritage with dermatological research achievements. Specifically, they highlighted that sustainable competitive advantage for beauty brands stems from deep storytelling and robust R&D capabilities, elaborating on LG Household & Health Care’s approximately 80 years of established R&D infrastructure since the launch of Lucky Cream in 1947.

Furthermore, they announced their vision to lead the longevity science paradigm, in line with the 'Longevity' trend. The History of Whoo successfully developed NAD, an anti-aging ingredient crucial for generating energy within the body and maintaining skin vitality. Known for its challenging skin penetration efficiency, NAD has historically been difficult to apply in cosmetics. However, after 13 years of rigorous research, they significantly improved its penetration and delivery through the development of 'NAD Power24™.' This ingredient is incorporated in hero products like the 'The History of Whoo Bichup NAD Power Ampoule,' which features 50% NAD Power24™ and embodies the brand's Science-Driven philosophy.

A representative from The History of Whoo stated, “It was meaningful to promote our unique brand heritage rooted in Korea's royal culture and our dermatological technology on a global luxury stage. Moving forward, we will continue to advance research and meaningful technological innovation to create products that our customers can understand and trust for a long time.”
