L'Oréal Korea, led by CEO Rodrigo Pizarro, announced the successful completion of its Korea Digital Acceleration Summit (K-DAS), a key internal event aimed at aligning the company’s digital innovation strategies with all employees.

K-DAS serves as a platform for L'Oréal Korea to evaluate its domestic execution against the group’s global digital strategies while facilitating the exchange of industry insights with external partners. This year’s theme, "Shake, Strengthen, and Expand Through AI and Tech," encapsulates the company’s vision to leverage AI and technology as transformative forces in the marketplace.

The event commenced with an opening speech by Rodrigo Pizarro, who emphasized that AI and technological innovation are the core engines driving digital acceleration. He reiterated the importance of dismantling existing market boundaries to create new opportunities, while also deepening relationships with existing consumers to foster loyalty.

In the first segment, Joyce Lui, L'Oréal's Chief Digital Officer for North Asia, shared digital strategy insights specifically tailored for the North Asian and South Korean markets. This segment featured presentations on data-driven consumer strategies, AI-enhanced content development, and opportunities for optimizing platform performance, providing clarity on L'Oréal Korea’s ongoing digital transformation.

The second segment welcomed Lee Jin-sol, managing director of Musinsa Beauty, as an external speaker who offered practical insights into the behavior patterns of the Zalpha Generation and their platform usage, shedding light on the beauty experiences and purchasing journeys of these new consumer demographics. Successful case studies were presented, including La Roche-Posay’s AI-driven product development strategy and Kérastase’s consumer expansion results through the Naver platform, each highlighting the integration of AI-powered recommendations and creator commerce in their digital collaboration.

Rodrigo Pizarro stated, "Today’s consumers traverse seamlessly between online and offline spaces, crafting their unique beauty journeys. For L'Oréal, AI and digital strategies transcend mere efficiency tools; they will be the cornerstone for creating meaningful experiences at every consumer touchpoint.”

L'Oréal Korea aims to leverage the K-DAS event not merely as an internal information sharing platform but as a pivotal opportunity to assess and accelerate the implementation of its enterprise-wide digital strategy. The company plans to systematically integrate AI, data, and platform technologies, focusing on acquiring new consumers and retaining existing ones by refining tailored digital strategies for each brand.
