Landing International announced on the 10th that it is driving K-Beauty's expansion in North America through its decade-long partnership with Ulta Beauty. This collaboration not only highlights the growing demand for K-Beauty, which achieved a record-export value of $11.4 billion, but also underscores the distributors' role as pivotal facilitators of comprehensive market entry strategies.

As global demand for K-Beauty continues to increase, 2025 is projected to see a further 12.3% rise in exports compared to 2024, reaching $11.4 billion. The first quarter of this year already demonstrates this upward trajectory with exports around $3.1 billion, marking a record high for that period. This sustainable growth indicates an increasingly mature market where K-Beauty brands must leverage deep insights into local consumer preferences.

The instrumental role of distributors like Landing International is evident in their integrated support structures that span localization, marketing, and retail entry. Established in 2013, Landing International has presented over 1,000 products from more than 225 brands to major overseas channels, including Ulta Beauty, Target, and Walmart. This breadth of experience positions them as a leader in facilitating K-Beauty's successful entry into North American markets.

This year, Landing International is bolstering its collaboration with Ulta Beauty, underpinned by their 10-year partnership. They have launched 'K-Beauty World' within Ulta stores, creating a hybrid online and offline platform that enhances customer engagement. This strategic move has significantly reduced market entry timelines, allowing for the rapid launch of 17 K-Beauty brands via Ulta's marketplace in a short timeframe. Such efficiency aids in solidifying brand presence more rapidly than traditional retail approaches.

In addition, the recent Ulta Beauty Executive Roundtable held in February provided a venue for discussing strategic cooperation between U.S. and South Korean beauty companies, further signaling Landing's evolving role beyond distribution to becoming a global expansion platform. The introduction of wellness zones within Ulta stores amplifies the synergy between beauty and wellness, a direction that Landing is keen to capitalize on by supporting K-Wellness brand entry into the U.S. market.

Landing is also expanding partnerships with distributors like Walmart, showcasing K-Beauty in the 'Beauty Space' initiative within Walmart locations. This further enhances their offline distribution footprint, ensuring K-Beauty is accessible across different shopping environments.

Landing International's CEO, Jeong Sae-ra, stated, "Leveraging local experience and networks, we support K-Beauty brands in achieving rapid and stable market entry. As K-Beauty increasingly integrates into the global mainstream, we aim to strengthen our role in connecting brands with consumers." This ambition to deepen consumer connections offers significant implications for brand loyalty and retention as K-Beauty cements its place in the beauty market worldwide.
