(Korea) Beauty Stylist Association Completes Judging for '2026 PBFS FAIR'

The Korea Beauty Stylist Association announced the successful completion of the judging process for the '2nd Professional Beauty & Fashion Style Fair 2026 (2026 PBFS FAIR)' on July 16. A panel consisting of top experts and professors from various beauty disciplines participated in the judging, which adhered to strict and fair evaluation criteria.

This year’s event saw a substantial increase in participation compared to the first edition, reflecting the growing prestige of the competition and the fervent passion of next-generation artists within the K-beauty industry.

Enhancements to the judging criteria were made to better assess practical skills that can be immediately applied in the field. The makeup category introduced a new 'Self Beauty Makeup' competition alongside traditional segments, allowing for finer evaluation of participants’ individuality and trend awareness. The judging process also included diverse forms such as photographs, actual works, videos, and optimized submissions according to the unique characteristics of each category covering hair, nails, skin, semi-permanent makeup, eyelashes, and various styling fields.

Jointly hosted by the Korea Beauty Stylist Association and the Korea Vocational Research Institute, with sponsorship from the Korea Makeup Professionals Association, the event enhanced its expertise and credibility. Awards including Grand Prix, Best Award, and other distinctions will be conferred based on the judging outcomes.

A judge commented on the significant improvements in both the number and the technical quality of submissions compared to the first competition. The heightened expectations for future events are fueled by the evident enthusiasm and high levels of competency displayed by the participants.

Association President An Mi-ryeo expressed her optimism, stating that the competition aimed to discover practical talent in line with the rapidly changing beauty industry. She noted the inspiring works produced during the fair and expressed a commitment to support future competitions with expanded programs and scales to establish Korea as a leading global beauty and fashion fair.
