IMINE Enhances Competitiveness Through AX Implementation in ODM Operations
IMINE, a specialized cosmetics ODM company, is actively enhancing its competitiveness by implementing AX, focusing on AI integration in product development, ingredient verification, and overseas sales.
The company, represented by CEO Kim Joo-won and Park Jeong-wan, has established a systematic approach through its 'AX Four Major Strategies,' aiming to upgrade its ODM competitiveness to global standards by incorporating AI into its management across planning, production, development, and sales.
IMINE's four key goals for AX include streamlining operations through the introduction of AI agents and data-driven systems, digitizing tacit knowledge related to formulation expertise and manufacturing prescriptions, and internalizing these changes into corporate management. Establishing an AX infrastructure throughout the cosmetics ODM value chain is central to this initiative.
Initial applications of AI agents are focused on tasks that yield immediate benefits in the operational environment, such as customized fabric recommendations and analysis of international regulations. Notably, due to the nature of beauty manufacturing, formulation expertise and material matching are often held individually by technicians, hindering company-wide utilization. IMINE aims to document, standardize, and digitize this tacit knowledge through AX, making it accessible across the organization, thus linking the proliferation and standardization of AI usage to the education and evaluation of new personnel.
Through these measures, the company plans to enhance efficiency in repetitive tasks while cementing individual expertise as organizational assets, thereby improving work productivity and customer responsiveness within its 'AI-based ODM' framework.
Since June, IMINE has developed a 'Fabric Recommendation AI' and has begun testing it in the product development process. This system, tailored to meet the diverse needs of customers both domestically and globally, involves creating a database of sheet mask fabric resources. The AI is designed to recommend customized fabric data for intangible customer demands such as 'soft feel' and 'good adherence,' and to explain the rationale behind these recommendations, thus transforming the previously experience-based customer requirement analysis and fabric exploration processes into data and AI-driven frameworks.
Additionally, to proactively address varying and complex overseas regulations, IMINE has applied AI and data-driven systems to its export sales operations. A platform for export regulation documents was internally launched in June, unifying the standardized workflow for managing requests for regulatory documents from overseas clients, which were previously scattered across emails and other channels. The company is also developing a 'Global Ingredient Regulation Screening' tool, where uploading a product's ingredient list allows the AI to collect and analyze country-specific regulatory information, matching it with product components while providing regulatory status and supporting rationale.
Ultimately, through these initiatives, IMINE aims to systematize scattered export regulation operations, enhance the efficiency of repetitive regulatory reviews, and establish a basis for utilizing accumulated regulatory information as organizational data in the future.

By connecting previously experience-based tasks to data and AI, we aim to harness the professionalism accumulated in that process for the entire organization, thus elevating both work productivity and customer responsiveness.”
